Privacy notice
Last updated: November 2, 2026
EV Learner is a free practice check for learners in Grades 2 to 10. We collect as little as we can, and we follow the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).
Who is responsible
Echoverse Online Tutorial Services is the personal information controller.
Data Protection Officer, Echoverse Online Tutorial Services: [email protected].
What we collect and why
- The check: your child's answers and results by skill, saved with a random code. We do not ask for your child's name, and we do not save IP addresses or device details with the answers. We use this to show the report, pick the free practice packs and make the parent summary.
- Parent account (only if you save a result): your email, your child's nickname and grade, and saved results. We use this so you can see results and progress later.
- Tutoring is not open yet. If you sent a tutor request before, we keep that request (your name, contact number, preferred schedule and note, plus the report you chose to share) only to reply to you. What tutoring collects will be described here before it opens.
- Simple usage counts (for example, how many checks were finished, or that a video was played) with no names. We use no ads and no outside tracking tools of our own.
- Free pack email (only if you ask for it): your email address. We use it once, to send the links to the free packs. It does not make an account, and it does not sign you up for anything.
- Practice ideas and offers (only if you tick the box): your email address, plus when and where you ticked it and the exact words you agreed to. We use it to send free practice ideas, new materials and occasional offers. Every one of these emails has an unsubscribe link.
- Test reminders (only if you tick the box): your email address, the grade and subject to practice, plus when and where you ticked it and the exact words you agreed to. We use it to send one short email about 5 days before each summative test, with a link to free practice. We do not save your child's name or results with it. Every reminder has an unsubscribe link.
- Teacher accounts: your email, the name and school printed on your files, your school's city or municipality, the grades and subjects you teach, your PRC license number if you give it, your 18+ teacher declaration and when you agreed to the Terms. We use them to run your account and print your license line. When the test maker builds a test, we also record which ready-made questions it gave your account, for which test and when. We use that record for the fair-use limits on each test and each term, and to find the account a leaked test came from.
The name you type for the parent summary stays on your phone. We never send it to our system.
How long we keep it
- Unsaved finished results: 90 days, then deleted.
- Checks that were started but not finished: 7 days, then deleted.
- Tutoring: the record of each session (date, time, tutor, status and credits) is kept for at least 6 months, as RA 11930 requires; other tutoring records 12 months after your last session. Sessions are not recorded, so there is no recording to keep. Tutor requests and waitlist entries: 12 months, then deleted.
- Results saved to a parent account: until you delete them.
- Free pack email: we do not store your address. To stop the same address getting too many emails, we keep a short-lived scrambled key made from it (your address cannot be read from it) for up to 48 hours, then delete it. Our email service, Resend, keeps a record of the message it sent for a limited time.
- Practice ideas and offers: until you unsubscribe. When you do, we delete your address at once. We keep the date you agreed, the date you stopped, the words you agreed to, and a scrambled code made from your address (your address cannot be read from it), so that any old unsubscribe link still works.
- Test reminders: until you unsubscribe. When you do, we delete your address at once and keep the same proof as for practice ideas (dates, the words you agreed to, a scrambled code). We also keep a list of which test each reminder was for, with the scrambled code and no address, so no one gets the same reminder twice.
- Teacher accounts: as long as your account is open. When you delete it, your card details go with it. If we close an account for false details, we keep a short record (email and date) so it cannot be reopened. The record of which test questions your account was given: 2 years, then deleted, or sooner if you delete your account.
- Free credits: free credits are given once per email address. So when you delete your account, we keep a scrambled code made from your email address (your address cannot be read from it) with the number of free credits it received and, for teachers, how many test items and tests it used each school term. We use it only to stop the same address claiming free credits or test-maker limits again. Test-maker counts are deleted 2 years after their last change; the free-credit record is deleted when early-access free credits end.
- To stop misuse of free credits, we keep with your account a scrambled code of your internet address and of your email's domain. It changes every day and cannot be read back. We also count free-credit grants per scrambled code for 2 days, then delete the counts.
Services that help us
These companies process data for us, and some store it outside the Philippines: Supabase (database and login), Cloudflare (website hosting, and Turnstile, which checks that you are a person) and Resend (email).
Videos on YouTube
Some of our videos play from YouTube. We load nothing from YouTube until you tap play on a video. After you tap, your browser loads the YouTube player from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced address. YouTube's own privacy policy then applies to that video, and YouTube may receive information from your browser, such as your IP address and device details, and may store cookies or similar data on your phone once the video plays. Adults, please press play. We do not send YouTube your child's name or any test answers.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. You can unsubscribe from practice ideas and offers at any time with the link in any of those emails, and we stop right away. The same link also stops test reminders, and the link in a test reminder stops all of them. You can also file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
How to delete your data
- Results on this phone: open the report and tap "Clear my results from this device".
- Saved results: email the Data Protection Officer from the email you log in with. We finish within 15 days.
- If you delete your account while tutoring records are inside those periods, we seal them instead of deleting them: no one can see them unless the law requires it, and we delete them on the date we show you. Tutor requests made without an account: email the Data Protection Officer with the number you gave us.
Children
A parent or guardian should read the start screen with the child. Only a verified parent can save results or ask for a tutor. Children never have their own account.
